Smoothies can be thought of as a ‘stoma-taboo’ – you’re often told to have a low-fibre diet, so why have a smoothie? Smoothies blend fruits and vegetables, which starts the digestive process, making digestion easier for our bodies and retaining more of the nutrients.
This smoothie provides added protein through the milk and yoghurt as well as vitamins and minerals from the fruit and spinach. A little honey finishes the smoothie with extra sweetness, but this can be missed if you’re watching your sugar intake.
